Background
Dr Maimouna W. Diouf is a material scientist specialised in material choice, growth and characterisation of thin films.
She pursued doctoral studies in material sciences and holds a Ph.D. degree in condensed matter and nanosciences awarded in 2019 by Aix-Marseille University (Marseille, France) for her work on the low-temperature deposition of oxides on flexible substrates.
Dr Diouf received a BSc in Physics with first-class honours from Université Claude Bernard (Lyon, France) and an MSc in renewable energies science and technology with honours from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris, France) specializing in photovoltaic materials.
She has joined Cranfield University in 2020 working on different projects in collaboration with industrials. Her focus is on the characterisation of functional coatings.
Current activities
Dr Diouf research interests include the synthesis of functional materials using physical vapor and chemical vapor deposition techniques (PVD, CVD).
Ongoing research project: UKRI Innovate UK 133908 - Flexible Electrochromic Windows with Photovoltaic Generation
