How to get involved on social media

We would love to see your photos and videos of you, your friends and family watching your graduation event on the day. Please share them with us via our social media channels, using #cranfieldgrad and tagging @cranfielduni on Instagram so that we can repost! We’ve also made some story templates for you and your friends and family to use, as well as an editable ‘Supporters Card’, that your loved ones can edit with their messages of congratulations and share on their social channels. You can download these using the links below.

How do I watch the event for my theme?

The video of each event will premiere on our YouTube channel - - at the times and dates above and will also be shared here on our website. We hope many of you will watch ‘together’ with your fellow graduates, friends and families, wherever you are in the world. We will be in touch with further details about this nearer to graduation week so please keep an eye out for an email from us and check this page too.

If you are unsure of which theme video to watch, you can find your course and corresponding video on our theme video spreadsheet. If you are a research student and are unsure, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at and one of our team will be happy to confirm.

What do the events include?

We will be broadcasting a graduation video specially created for your area of study. These videos will include speeches from key University staff, including a welcome from our Chancellor.

After the speeches, you can view a roll-call of graduates, these will appear alphabetically by course.

When, how will I receive my graduation clip?

The StageClip portal is now closed for personalisation of clips but all graduates will have a clip with their name and course displayed within the roll-call after the speeches.

You will also be sent your individual clip direct from StageClip on graduation day – it will be sent to the same email that you have been contacted on by us with our graduation emails.

How do I connect with my classmates/tutors, how can my family watch?

As we approach graduation day we will be busy on social media connecting with you and helping to share details of how you can join in, so please keep an eye on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and the hashtag #CranfieldGrad, as well as looking out for emails from us with all the details.

Depending on social distancing and quarantine measures in place where you live, we hope that some graduates will be able to be with family and friends at the time of the online ceremony. But, if that's not possible, we will be doing our best to help give you ideas and provide ways of coming together online. We’ll keep you updated on these plans via the emails coming out to you in May and, again, nearer to graduation day.

Our staff will also be keen to join in and share messages with you as the ceremony days get closer.

I am a prize-winner, how will I be notified?

Our Student and Academic Support teams have worked with prize sponsors to administer and notify graduates who have been successful.

Prize-winner names will be published on the day of your celebration.

How do I access my alumni services?

As a Cranfield graduate, you are part of a global community of over 65,000 friends who call 169 countries home.

When you receive your clip on graduation day, we have included an ‘update your contact details’ card. Please do take a minute to fill these in so that we can keep in touch with you and let you know about events, career support available to you, and news from the University and your School.

Your alumni portal is available to you now, so there's no need to wait until after graduation day. If you have any questions regarding your alumni portal access or account, or have problems logging in, please contact the alumni team at

Can I attend graduation 2021?

Yes! We are inviting graduates and their guests to return to Cranfield for their graduation ceremony in 2021 and we will provide further details in the coming months. We very much look forward to seeing you and your guests to celebrate next summer.

When will I receive my certificate?

Many staff are currently working remotely while the UK continues to be under ‘lockdown’ and we are exercising social distancing measures. While we remain in this phase, we are unable to post out certificates, so please accept our apologies for this.

Our Registry team will post certificates out to you as soon as possible, when we are back in the office. We will be working hard to get them out to you as soon as we possibly can and thank you for your patience. Please speak to us if you have a specific query relating to your certificate or need details to help with a job application.
