Research areas include airline economics, airline and airport networks, airline marketing and the commercialisation of airports.
The Centre for Air Transport Management welcomes applications from those interested in pursuing a doctoral research degree. We are able to offer both full and part- time study options. In recent years, we have supervised doctoral research projects in airline branding, measuring airline service quality and stakeholder influences on the airport master planning processes.
Students benefit from our close industrial relationships, through guest speakers sharing their knowledge, and visits to companies including Monarch and London Gatwick. Industrial partners such as easyJet and Qatar Airways recruit extensively from our courses. More than 1500 former students are in the air transport industry.
