What does the Scholarship cover?

The CAASF scholarship is a full-fee paying scholarship, meaning tuition is waived for a place on the full-time MBA. The scholarship does not cover living, travel or visa expenses, and is limited to tuition fees only. Current tuition fees for 2020-21 are £39,000.

CAASF also provides a stipend to the scholarship winner, the value of which varies depending on fundraising activities during the year. CAASF depends on the generosity of alumni along with the support of corporate sponsors.

CAASF depends on the generosity and support of alumni for its ongoing funds, together with corporate donations. In the past, the amount of the cash contribution has been $20,000, but we cannot guarantee this each year. Whilst we will seek to maintain the Scholarship award at the above figure, the future value will depend on the amount we are able to raise in the preceding year and we will announce the value of the current Scholarship by the end of July each year.

In 2020 (subject to exchange rate fluctuations), the value of the place on the programme alone is in excess of $AUD70,000, making it the most valuable scholarship available to Australians for a single year of study.

Further information on cost of living and accommodation is available here through the Cranfield MBA website.

What other finance is available?

There are a variety of options available to finance postgraduate study. MBA candidates typically use a combination of self-funding and student finance such as the Prodigy Loan Scheme to fund the year at Cranfield. More information can be found via the Cranfield MBA website.

Am I eligible for the Scholarship?

The CAASF scholarship is open to all Australian citizens, preferably residing in Australia during the selection period. Ideally, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of practical work and life experience with a track record of success.
  • No upper or lower age limits, however the average age of a Cranfield MBA candidate is 32 years.
  • Have a passion to contribute to Australia’s future
  • Have been awarded and accepted a place on the Cranfield full-time MBA programme.

Do I need a Visa to study in the UK?

Unless you hold a British passport, as an Australian citizen, will require a visa to study in the UK. Cranfield University has plenty of information on visas for both students and their partners or family.

If you are already living and working in the UK you will be able to convert your visa to a study visa, however it may require a trip back to Australia to do so. Get in touch with Cranfield to ascertain the best path for your situation.
