The Infrastructure Systems group brings together thinkers interested in creating outcomes across integrated systems in energy, transport, digital, telecommunications, water, waste, food and housing. Read more Read less

Outcomes, such as learning, policy, strategy, decision-making, and action, have impact upon economic, social, technical, regulatory and environmental domains.  And outcomes are achieved sustainably only through influence across traditional sectoral boundaries, with shared goals for equity and access, resource minimisation, efficiency and resilience.

Skills and experience within the group are close to practice and focused on outcomes.  Methods include operational optimisation, business model innovation, interdependency analysis, system representation, policy evaluation, network analysis, computational modelling and visualisation, risk and uncertainty analysis, complex systems management and major projects delivery.

The group includes a research centre in complex systems, where research projects are funded by the government.
