Why did you choose Cranfield?

Zeljko attended the Cranfield General Management Programme in February 2005. Having needed to widen his understanding of management and his spheres of influence, the programme was an obvious choice that would allow him to achieve more. With Carlsberg's existing relationship with Cranfield and the reputation of the University, the programme was quickly recommended to him by his line manager.

What was Cranfield's impact

Some of the key learning’s Zeljko took away from the programme include an increased awareness of the impact he has on others and how to ‘sell’ his ideas. His understanding of the organisation and the politics that operate within the wider business have helped him to get the ‘buy in’ he needs for pushing his agenda forward.

The programme didn’t just make a difference on a personal level but has had a significant impact on the organisation as well. He successfully managed to get his Serbian Supply Chain team recognised as an effective management team by enabling them to increase sales and being more results driven. The Serbian office, once just the operational and logistics part of Carlsberg, has now become the headquarters for South East Europe.

The single biggest thing Zeljko took away from the programme is the need to ask questions. He has a much more questioning approach before making decisions which allows him to achieve more. Since attending the programme he has been promoted to Vice President.
