The consequences and implications of the challenges posed by environmental change will require adaptation and mitigation measures. The climate and biodiversity challenges facing nature and society are multifaceted and multifactorial and require a transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral response.
We have over 50 years of experience in developing solutions which address societal issues such as sustainability, climate change, air quality and enhancing the planet’s natural resources. Our research is supported by funding bodies across the UK and internationally.
Our innovative teaching is globally recognised and supported by access to world-class facilities. We also work with governmental, non-governmental and industrial partners and clients so to set the agenda in the areas of sustainability, resilience and climate adaption and mitigation, and will lead on the development of solutions with real-world impact.
