Our full-time Strategic Marketing MSc is a highly ranked course, 5th in the UK according to the QS World University Rankings: Masters in Marketing ranking 2025.
The course equips you with the advanced knowledge and skills to become a successful marketing leader of the future. The course covers the full marketing spectrum from marketing strategy, communications and branding to market research, digital marketing, social media, and big data marketing analytics.

Course fees
Apprenticeship levy
| PgDip Part-time | £14,000 * |
- * This includes tuition fees and endpoint assessment only. Under the Apprenticeship Levy scheme employers can fund apprenticeships for any new and current staff with the right to work in the UK and whose main place of work is England. This programme meets the requirements of the Level 7 Senior Leader apprenticeship standard. Eligible organisations will be able to use £14,000 of their Apprenticeship Levy to cover the cost of the course. Either you or your employer can fund the additional £5,250 tuition fee to complete what remains of the MSc course. Fee notes
- The fees outlined apply to all students whose initial date of registration falls on or between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2026.
- All students pay the tuition fee set by the University for the full duration of their registration period.
- Additional fees for extensions to the agreed registration period may be charged.
- Eligibility for Home fee status is determined with reference to UK Government regulations. As a guiding principle UK or Irish nationals who are ordinarily resident in either the UK or Republic of Ireland pay Home tuition fees. All other students (including those from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man) pay Overseas fees.

Entry requirements
Academic requirements
We welcome applications from talented candidates from all backgrounds. Candidates are normally high potential, early-career managers with three to ten years’ post-qualification experience marketing roles.
Candidates normally possess a first- or second-class UK honours degree (or international equivalent). Alternatively, we will consider a professional qualification (such as CIM, IDM, ISM) together with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification work experience. Other relevant qualifications, together with significant experience, may also be considered.
Professional experience and personal qualities are equally important to us and each application is considered on its individual merit.
To study for a formal award with us you will need to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively in English in an academic environment prior to the start of the course.
Most applicants meet our English language requirements by having previously obtained a higher education level qualification from a UK university.
Applicants without UK qualifications can usually meet the English requirement through employment in the UK (a minimum of 5 years continuous employment immediately prior to the start of the course is required), providing you can supply a reference from your current employer which explicitly confirms you are able to communicate effectively in English.

Apprenticeship requirements
Before an application is submitted for our Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme, prospective students need to have approval from the employer. Students have to be employed and your employer has to agree to provide you with the support and supervision to carry out your job role and your apprenticeship. It is a requirement of the Apprenticeship Funding Rules that you are working at least 50% of your contracted hours in England.
A three-way agreement needs to be put in place between Cranfield University, the employer and the student.
As part of all Higher-Level Apprenticeships in England (this includes all apprenticeship provision at Cranfield University), it is a requirement by the Education and Skills Funding Agency that an apprentice holds or achieves an approved level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English before they can successfully complete the apprenticeship. Such evidence can include GCSE/O Level grade C/4 or higher.

Please note that Degree certificates (unless the words 'Mathematics' or 'English' are in the title) and secure English language tests, like IELTS, are not deemed acceptable by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
