Apprenticeship Portfolio
Theoretical knowledge with practical relevance – applied learning for individuals and organisations
Managing changes in the apprenticeship landscape
Following changes to apprenticeship funding, including the withdrawal of levy-supported Level 7 apprenticeships, many employers have been left re-evaluating how to continue investing in their leadership pipeline.
Whilst our L7 apprenticeship programmes have now enrolled their final cohort, Cranfield remains at the forefront of leadership and workforce development, continuing to offer a broad range of skills pathways that respond directly to employer needs and align with the evolving national skills agenda.
We are actively working with organisations to pivot their leadership development strategies and help them repurpose planned L7 activity into high-impact alternatives, such as:
- Level 6 Apprenticeships at MK:U – offering a variety of levy-funded programmes ranging from leadership to robotics, all of which can be tailored to reflect organisational context and seniority. For more information, contact kamila.falkowska@cranfield.ac.uk.
- Level 7 'top-up' routes – options for learners completing L6 apprenticeships to use their existing knowledge and skills as a launchpad into L7 accredited programmes (i.e. PG Cert/PG Diploma).
- Customised leadership development – bespoke, non-apprenticeship programmes aligned to your business needs, including award-bearing online learning solutions.
- Skills accelerators – short, focused interventions in areas like digital leadership, project management, problem solving and sustainability.
- Leadership Transitions – highly interactive, in-person programmes that bring professionals together for focused, high-impact learning at key career transition points.
We are here to help you reframe, redesign, and redirect your investment in leadership and skills development to ensure continued impact.
