Exploring Sustainable Futures

Imagine being able to see the impact of your business decisions in the future. You would see not only how your decisions impacted your company, and local community, but nationally and globally as well. Whatever we do, we contribute to how our world is today.

Using an immersive sustainable future game, you are invited to see the real impact of the decisions you make and the impact they have on your local community, nationally, and globally in the future. Was it the outcome you expected? You will have to play and find out. This game helps you understand the future impact of your business decisions in order to help you make the right decisions today.

Showcased at COP26 Glasgow and recognised by the Financial Times as an innovation in learning, the Exploring Sustainable Futures game is a visually impactful and interactive experience using video and roleplay with others. Players representing businesses, policymakers, civil society organisations, and ‘the public voice’ all react to changes in the economy, technology, and society along different pathways. The ’winners’ are judged not only by the resources they accumulate but by whether they have achieved their purpose and reflect on the world they have collectively created through their decisions.

The benefits

You will understand...

  • The radically different, plausible futures that could unfold.
  • The role different actors play in societal change.
  • The interrelationship between business, society, and the wider living world.
  • What might have to change in the world for future sustainable development to happen.
  • The scope for business to both regenerate and degrade society.
  • The value and impact of your actions today on the future
  • Increase your sustainability education tools by taking the game to your organisation to help improve strategic decision-making within your business.
