Contact Richard Renshaw

Background

Richard has a BSc in Electronic Engineering (Dundee) and graduated on the Cranfield MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in 2003, winning the Cranfield Management Association prize for his thesis on 'build to order' cost modelling.

His early career was in operations with several automotive/engineering companies including Honda, Caterpillar and Lucas Engineering and Systems leading several engineering orientated projects including concept design for utility vehicles in India, designing and implementing logistics systems for 'electrocote' paint plants and establishing a PRD business unit (Pre-Delivery Inspection, Reconfiguration and Delivery) to enable direct delivery of building and construction products across Europe. His operational experience is complimented by consulting at board level which has developed through LCP Consulting and KPMG Boxwood where Richard is currently an Associate Director. Richard has led global Sales and Operations Planning implementations in several sectors, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, food manufacture and technology products working internationally including Switzerland, Sweden, Norway. He has also managed, or participated in, operating model design and business transformation in geographically dispersed organisations which has taken him to USA, Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Dubai etc.

Current activities

Richard Lectures at Cranfield on the MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management having co-wrote the modules on Sales and Operations Planning and Six Sigma.
