Matt has spent the past 20 years working in the life sciences and technology space. He started his career as a research chemist holding postdoctoral fellowships at the University van Amsterdam and Sussex University before transitioning to the world of science and business journalism.
In 2010, he decided to take a career in a new direction and enrolled on the full-time Cranfield MBA.
Since then he has held a number of leadership roles working with life science and technology companies of all sizes at the intersection of sales, marketing, technology, and innovation.
During his time at LGC, he led a multi-million pound eCommerce transformation for the Genomics division, to transform a fragmented digital presence into a single, cohesive, industry-leading experience.
Matt is a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield School of Management, where he supervises Strategic Marketing MSc students and tutors eMBA and Marketing and Leadership MSc students through the Level 7 Apprenticeship end point assessment.
He is also a Senior Strategist at the world's first cloud based marketing agency UP THERE, EVERYWHERE where he is part of the Up for Life Executive Team and leads on branding, communications and inbound marketing activities within the genomics sector.
