Background
Qinglan Liu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cranfield School of Management. She holds a PhD in Digital Technologies for the Circular Economy from the University of Exeter, where her research explored how digital innovation can support sustainable development and circular business models. Her work focuses on the intersection of circular economy, digital transformation, and business model innovation, examining how organisations can leverage emerging technologies to advance sustainability. Qinglan has held research and teaching roles at both Cranfield University and the University of Exeter and has actively contributed to early-career researcher communities. She continues to collaborate on projects that drive responsible innovation and is passionate about shaping more sustainable and digitally enabled futures.
Current activities
Currently, she is involved in the RoboTriage project, which focuses on maximizing value retention through product life extension. By leveraging automated triage systems, their work aims to bridge the gap between advanced digital technologies and practical circular-economy loops.
