Background
Dr Lake Wang is the Executive Director, People and Organisational Development in The Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of the Hong Kong's major employers and world's top ten charity donors, from October 2018. In this position, he plays a strategic role in leading the Club's cultural transformation and Human Resources (HR) management.
Dr Wang is a global HR leader specialising in organisational development and HR management. Before joining the Hong Kong Jockey Club, he worked in BP for over 10 years, held a series of leadership roles. He commenced his career in BP as Global VP of HR for Petrochemicals and BP China. Later on he was relocated to London to take the role of HR VP for Castrol & BP Lubricants to oversee the global HR management in over 50 countries across 4 regions. Prior to BP, he was the VP, HR for A.P. Moller Maersk Greater China, and Executive Director of Maersk China and Hong Kong.
Dr Wang received a Bachelor Degree of Education from Shanghai Normal University, an EMBA from China Europe International Business School, and a Doctoral Degree from Cranfield University School of Management.
