Dr Christoph Mazur, a leader in the future of low-carbon energy and sustainability has joined Cranfield University as a Visiting Professor.

Over the past decade, Christoph has built a wide portfolio of experience – working with both leading academic institutions and commercial players including Imperial College London (with the Grantham Institute and Energy Futures Lab), the Energy Systems Catapult, UK Parliament, Daimler Buses North America, Climate-KIC, ENGIE/EQUANS and Microsoft.

As Visiting Professor, Dr Mazur will bring new opportunities to Cranfield’s researchers and student within the Energy and Sustainability theme. His skills in leading multidisciplinary programmes with consortiums of stakeholders will provide real-world case studies and provide numerous student project opportunities.

Dr Mazur, Visiting Professor at Cranfield University said: “I am keen to commit actively to Cranfield. I recognise the potential to develop unique solutions that are ‘at scale’ and across the Technology Readiness Levels, with the potential to explore truly innovative ideas together.”

Professor Chris Fogwill, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the School of Water, Energy and Environment said: “With a depth of experience within both the commercial and research spheres, Dr Mazur is uniquely placed to help us add value to all our programmes, and with experience of delivering postgraduate taught programmes and research student supervision at Imperial College London, he is keen to contribute proactively to both delivery and development of our programmes as a Visiting Professor.”
