Contact Yang Chen

Background

Yang Chen is a PhD student at Cranfield University, where his MRes degree has been granted. He received his BSc in Air Traffic Management from Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China.

Yang's background covers inertial and satellite navigation systems, control engineering and software engineering. He has several years' experience in design and development of various integrated multisensor navigation systems, data fusion filter algorithms, GPS positioning and attitude determination algorithms, RNP navigation and flight management systems in China and UK.

Yang's research interests are concerned with data fusion methodologies for guidance, navigation, control and synthetic vision, integrated navigation systems; performance-based navigation and 4D trajectory optimisation; air traffic flow optimisation and avionics system safety assessment; smart airport eco-system and intrusion detection system.
