Background

An MRes research student exploring how humans and intelligent systems can work together in ways that are transparent, trustworthy, and cognitively meaningful. Ola's work sits at the intersection of user experience (UX), explainable AI, and decision-support systems. Her current research examines Multi-Intelligence Agents (MIAs), an emerging class of cyber-physical-social systems designed to bridge gaps between human reasoning and computational intelligence.

The goal of this research is to help shape AI systems that support human judgement, responsible innovation, and more inclusive decision-making in complex organisational contexts.

Research opportunities

Ola is interested in responsible AI, explainable systems, and the role of UX design in shaping how intelligent technologies are adopted in real organisational contexts. Her goal is to contribute practical design insights that help ensure AI systems remain understandable, trustworthy, and supportive of human judgement.

Using conceptual frameworks, low-fidelity prototyping, and usability studies, Ola investigates how interface design can reduce information and intelligence asymmetries between people and AI systems.

Outside of research, Ola enjoys translating complex design ideas into accessible concepts that help bridge the gap between technical innovation and everyday users.
