Areas of expertise
- Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Computing, Simulation & Modelling
- Gas Turbines & Propulsion
Background
Nicolas developed his academic background at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Bristol. In 2022, he further specialised in the field of gas turbine propulsion by completing an MSc in Thermal Power at Cranfield University. He is currently pursuing a part-time PhD at Cranfield University focused on modelling methods for liquid hydrogen (LH₂) two-phase flows, alongside his work as a research assistant in cryogenics.
Current activities
Nicolas works as a research assistant at the Centre for Propulsion and Thermal Power Engineering in Cranfield University. His research focus on numerical analysis for two-phase cryogenic hydrogen flows for their application to aicraft fuel systems.
