The Cranfield Water Science Institute, in partnership with Anglian Water, is offering this opportunity for a UK/EU student to receive a full-fee bursary and £10,000 annually for living costs to study the MSc in Water and Wastewater Engineering over two years.

The successful candidate will undertake a combined programme of taught study at Cranfield and a company-based project placement over a fixed two-year period. The taught component comprises eight one-week assessed modules and a group project focused on water and wastewater treatment processes and engineering. While on placement, you will write up project work in the form of a thesis.

For the taught component of the MSc, students will be based at Cranfield (October 2022 until April 2023). After that, the student will have the opportunity to do a placement with Anglian Water Innovation to do their MSc thesis project (May 2023 until September 2023).

Who can apply

To be eligible for the bursary an applicant must be a UK student eligible for 'Home' fees and available to start the course in the October intake.

Applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree in engineering or science. A driving licence is desired.

This course is suitable for science or engineering graduates keen to pursue careers within companies involved in water and wastewater treatment, process contractors, consultants, equipment manufacturers, suppliers and industrial water users; graduates currently working in the water sector keen to extend their qualifications; or individuals with other qualifications who possess considerable relevant experience.
