Why did you choose Cranfield?
It's remote, focussed, and very professional. I would recommend Cranfield absolutely, it's been fantastic! Three years - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that the university is well-recognised in the field and it's an award that's worth something. I think that the course perfectly prepares you for airline safety officer or similar jobs in the industry.
The other students, I think they are tremendous people. Coming to Cranfield and getting to know them, discussing ideas with them, was the most beneficial part of the programme.
What was Cranfield's impact
I got an award for the best master's thesis. My thesis was about machine learning and flight detour monitoring, it was with Lufthanser German airlines. I am still an airline pilot and now additionally I work in the flight safety office in Munich.
