Why did you choose Cranfield?

I chose to do the Cranfield MBA full-time because I wanted to move from a technical engineering role into a broader business management strategy position.

I found out about Cranfield University by researching on the internet but there are a number of things that attracted me to the University. Firstly, I found out that they had a very good reputation and the School of Management having more of a leadership focus, and the entire University's links with industry - considering my background I thought that was particularly relevant.

Also, I looked into the research coming out of the School of Management and I was quite impressed with the technicality and the type of research, which were subjects that I was interested in, so I thought that it would be a good fit. The slightly older cohort for the MBA I thought was good. Basically signifying that you would have people with more experience, and considering how much you learn from your cohort, I thought that was particularly important.

To attend the Uni I won the John McFarlane scholarship, which has been really helpful, in terms of keeping me out of debt, basically!

What was Cranfield's impact

I think there's been a lot of useful things in the MBA so far. The operation subjects I'm particularly interested in - supply chain management - we're actually competing in a supply chain management competition as well. That's already been a lot of fun, submission is tonight. But yeah, just getting that broad background as well in a lot of subjects that I didn't really know anything about, for example marketing, or accounting, has been really interesting so far.

I considered doing my MBA in the UK and in France, moving to the UK has been quite easy. It's been such a lovely place to be so far, especially the people. I didn't realise the British people were known for their hospitality and how nice they are, it's been a really lovely experience so far.

I would say think of doing a postgraduate course as it's an investment in your future, and in terms of coming to the United Kingdom, it's a great place to be and a great place to study and an experience of a lifetime as well.

After the MBA I would like to stay in Europe. I think the UK is the most likely place I would stay, but I definitely want to work in Europe for at least a few years if not many more.
