Why did you choose Cranfield?

Well obviously everyone eats food and we need to ensure the food supply is safe and it contributes to the global food security because it doesn’t matter how much food supply we have because if it’s not safe it’s not consumable. That’s my interest – to ensure the food safety. I’ve been interested since my undergraduate degree, which I studied in Malaysia.

I always liked to teach, I haven’t thought of anything else to do when I graduated, it’s always been about teaching and to do that in Malaysia you need to obtain a PhD and Cranfield is the best place to do it. My professor here is the authority in food microbiology and that is why I came here. I n terms of students they are very friendly toward international groups. I don’t feel out of place and in terms of teaching, well I can’t say enough about the professors here, they are very helpful and very encouraging.
