Why did you choose Cranfield?

Our experiment required an acoustic resonator in the shape of a hollow sphere: think of a high-tech ocarina! It needed to be made out of copper and constructed from two hemispheres. I called lots of companies that I thought might be able to manufacture this and everybody said they couldn’t quite do it. I then called Cranfield and they said “Yes” immediately. When it was finished, it turned out to be the perfect shape.

What are your impressions of Cranfield as a place?

Cranfield seemed like a rather nice retreat. I was very surprised that there was such high-tech stuff going on.
