Cranfield’s Student Ambassadors play a key role in welcoming prospective students into our community. By sharing honest insights and real experiences, you'll help applicants understand what it’s really like to study here academically, socially, and personally.
Why become a Student Ambassador?
Being a Student Ambassador is a flexible, paid role designed to fit around your studies — with your academic commitments always coming first.
As an ambassador, you will:
- Gain valuable skills in communication, leadership and public speaking
- Build experience in events, outreach and digital engagement

What do Student Ambassadors do?
Our ambassadors represent the diversity of Cranfield’s student community and support prospective students in a variety of ways.
You may:
- Chat with prospective students online via our Unibuddy platform
- Make outbound calls to applicants in the UK and internationally
- Share your experiences of studying, accommodation and campus life
- Create content such as blogs and social media posts
- Represent Cranfield at Open Days, recruitment fairs and events
- Take part in webinars, presentations and focus groups
Training and support
You’ll receive full training before you begin, and ongoing support throughout your time as an ambassador. You’ll always have guidance available, so you can feel confident in the role.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from students across all courses, backgrounds and nationalities, including MSc and PhD students.
To become a Student Ambassador, you should be:
- A current Cranfield student or holding an offer to study
- Enthusiastic, reliable and proactive
- Confident communicating both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable speaking to new people and sharing your experience
- Able to commit to the activities you sign up for
Please note: Cranfield students must not exceed 18 hours of paid work per week across all roles, in line with university policy.
