The Gender Diversity Impact (Gedii): Improving research and innovation through gender diversity project is examining the relationship between gender diversity within research teams in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) sector, and research effectiveness and performance.

Its broad aims are to develop concepts and tools for assessing the antecedents, processes and outcomes of gender diversity on research performance in teams and organisations; assess the benefits of gender diversity within teams and organisations for science and society; and stimulate public awareness and support change-enabling engagement in science, industry, policy and civil society through innovative societal dialogues about the evidence-based, comparable benefits of gender diversity.
