Cranfield School of Management is today hosting MBA students from leading business schools across Europe, as part of the Global Venture Capital Investment Competition. Cranfield is hosting the Northern European Final of the competition with the winner claiming a spot in the Global Final.
The aim of the competition is for the students to put themselves into the shoes of an investor and evaluate real businesses looking for funding. This year students from Said, INSEAD, Copenhagen, Imperial, Manchester, Cambridge and Cass business schools will be competing for a place in the Global Final, held in April at the University of North Carolina’s UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
An all-star group of entrepreneurs and investors will put the students through their paces on Friday including Cranfield MBA alumni Dan Bedi and Omar Abdel-Rahman (co-founders Jafa), Daniel George (StepEx), Vivion Cox (Football Whispers), Martin Rigby (ET Capital), Glenn Collinson (CSR plc) and Stepan Galaev (Galaev & Co).
Dr Stephanie Hussels, lead organiser and Director of the Business Growth Programme at Cranfield School of Management, said: “We are delighted to be playing host to this prestigious competition. This is a great opportunity for the students involved to learn not only from their peers but also from leading entrepreneurs and investors.”
