Cranfield School of Management is investing in the future of farming by offering a full scholarship for its flagship MBA programme.

Working with the Agrifarm Charitable Foundation, Cranfield is offering the scholarship up to the value of up to £36,000 for its Worshipful Company of Farmers MBA.

It is being offered to a suitably qualified British farmer, or someone closely associated with farming.

Cranfield MBA scholarship recipient, Frank Thorogood, said: “It was without doubt the best experience of my life. I am more confident, communicative and competent than when I started; the MBA has given me the skills and understanding to fulfil my potential.”

Scholarship interviews will be held with the Director of the Agrifarm Charitable Foundation and the award will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate not only that they will benefit from studying at Cranfield, but also that they have the leadership qualities that will allow them to spearhead changes in the management of the UK agricultural industry.

Another former scholarship recipient, Richard Milligan-Manby, added: “The key thing I learnt was how to break a business down into processes and then develop the business up from there. It has helped me develop my own business as well developing two other businesses I was involved with at the time of attending the MBA.”

The deadline for applications is 1 May 2016. Visit the MBA page for more details.
