Contact Ying Huang

Background


Before starting her PhD journey, Ying obtained her Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with Distinction at Cranfield University in 2020.  After graduation, she worked as a client solution specialist in a company named Flexport in Shanghai for several months.  In 2019, she also earned the first prize in the MA-STEEL cup - the sixth national contest on logistics design by university students in China, during her bachelor studying.  In January 2022, she joined Cranfield University as a PhD Researcher.

Research opportunities

Ying's current research concentrates on Industry 4.0's technologies possible applications in the food supply chain.  For example, digital twin implementation framework for resilience food supply chain.  To develop and implement digital twins within the food supply chain.  Specifically to identify food supply chains' challenges and problems and explore the possible technique solutions.  The integration of big data, digital twin and internet of things could have the potential to meet the challenges of the food supply chain.
