Background

I am Prosper Biaka Konlan, a PhD candidate in Leadership and Management at Cranfield University. My doctoral research investigates the hybrid governance structures and institutionalisation of informal networks in Ghana's food supply chains as an emerging economy. This scholarly inquiry is grounded in my prior professional experience in operations management. My academic training comprising an MPhil in Operations Management from the University of Ghana, a Research-Based MSc in Development Planning and Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and BSc in Management Education from University of Education with many publications basically in Supply Chain Management has provided me with a rigorous theoretical and analytical foundation to address these complex socio-economic systems.

Research opportunities

My primary research agenda involves advancing the understanding of supply chain management in developing contexts. This encompasses analysing competitive supply chain strategies, evaluating the operational performance of informal food supply chains, and mapping the complexities of informal networks that are critical to food security.

Current activities

My current research at Cranfield University focuses on mapping hybrid governance structures and institutionalization processes within informal food supply chains across developing economies.
