Onno’s background in psychological research, business, and technological design enables him to approach organizational challenges from different angles and deliver comprehensive solutions. He has a strong interest in customer experience management, innovation, and structured problem solving.
Before joining Cranfield he held director and ‘head of’ positions in both strategy and operations at American Express and eBay and co-founded ThinkStrait, an innovation consultancy. Prior to moving to the UK in 2007 he worked as a management consultant at MSR Consulting Group, following a stint as a design engineer at Océ Technologies (now Canon) in The Netherlands.
Onno holds an MBA from IESE Business School (Spain), a Professional Doctorate in Engineering specializing in User Centred System Design from Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands), and an MSc in Experimental Psychology with a Neuroscience specialization from Tilburg University (The Netherlands).
Onno is a registered engineer as well as a registered psychologist in the Netherlands. He has written several publications on User Centred Design and is the inventor of two patents in the field of knowledge management.
