Contact Karina Von Dem Berge

Background

Karina is a research associate in the field of Service and Operations Management at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland since the beginning of 2019. She holds a Design degree (KISD, Cologne, DE) as well as a MSc in Business Administration (HSLU, Lucerne, CH). Between the two degrees, she worked in various companies in the field of branding and marketing. Moreover, she supported and accompanied the founding of a start-up in the energy sector, which was instrumental in her decision to major in Business Development and Promotion during her MSc.

Research opportunities

Her current research contributes to understanding the perceived value of resource sharing between companies in a B2B context. While the sharing economy has experienced extraordinarily high global growth for over a decade, sharing between businesses still seems to lag behind. For this reason, motivations and barriers to B2B sharing will be explored in order to be able to tap into additional sustainability effects ranging from economic to environmental and social effects.
