Prior to starting his PhD journey, Haofeng obtained his Bachelor in Logistics Management from Taiyuan University of Technology in China. He then obtained his MSc in Finance and Management at Cranfield University. In October 2022, he joined Cranfield University as a PhD research student.
Haofeng’s current research focuses on the role of trust in Initial Coin Offering (ICO) investment decision. The ICO is based on blockchain technology which features as transparent and credible, but there are a great number of ICO frauds and scams happened. Investors face serious information asymmetry because the ways of founders’ interactions with investors are limited to whitepapers and social medias. Therefore, whether trust plays a role in ICO investors investment in the premise of acknowledging the risks needs to be studied.
