Contact Dr Mikko Arevuo
Prior to moving to academia, Dr Arevuo held a number of management posts in international corporate and investment banking both in the UK and abroad. A native of Finland, Dr Arevuo earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He holds an MBA and a PhD from Cranfield School of Management.
Most recently Dr Arevuo was the Head of Postgraduate International Business and Management programmes at Regent’s University London responsible for curriculum development and the academic quality of the programmes. He also teaches strategic management and business research methods on postgraduate management and executive development programmes.
Dr Arevuo’s current research interests are in the areas of managerial and organizational cognition and strategic activities and practices. In particular, he is interested in how managers make sense of problems shrouded in uncertainty and ambiguity, and how senior management teams can improve the quality of their strategic decision-making processes.
