Contact Dr Aurora Chen

Background

Aurora’s particular research interests are men and women managers in Asia and the career outcomes for both men and women from taking an MBA. Her recent research focuses on the clarification of the concept of career capital and on how Asian managers develop their careers in different countries. She has established various contacts with business schools and scholars in Asia.

Her doctoral research investigated the career benefits of an Executive MBA for British and Taiwanese women managers. In 2007 she won a Doctoral Student Fellowship from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in the United States. She has spoken at many academic and practitioner conferences. Prior to her academic career, she worked in Siemens AG.
