Contact Dr Artur Szymański

Background

Artur's background is in computational methods for power and mechanical engineering. He is an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy.

Artur is a Lecturer in Data Science, as well as Course Lead for Level 4 Data Analyst and Level 6 Data Scientist Apprenticeships for the proposed new university in Milton Keynes - MK:U (see https://www.cranfield.ac.uk/mku). Before taking on this role, he was a Research Fellow in Turbomachinery Aerodynamics in School of Aerospace Transport and Manufacturing, where he focused on applied research on turbomachinery operation and design optimisation.

Artur obtained his PhD in Turbomachinery Design and Exploitation from Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland) in 2017. Prior to that, he obtained his MSc (Hons) and BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland), in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

Current activities

Artur's current activities focus around the offering development of the proposed new university in Milton Keynes - MK:U. He is involved in numerous endeavours related to digital apprenticeship courses development, promotion and maintenance.
