Background
Chaoran Yang is a PhD student in Economics and Finance at Cranfield School of Management. Before joining Cranfield, Chaoran holds a Master's degree in Investment Analysis from Aston University, and he holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Guizhou University.
Current activities
Chaoran’s current doctoral research focuses on the application of the difference-in-differences method in the area of corporate governance. Specifically, he exploits the staggered adoption of the Universal Demand (UD) laws across U.S. states as a quasi-natural experiment to examine how shareholder litigation affects managers’ behaviours and corporate policy.
