Prepare yourself and your organisation for the AI work revolution

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is everywhere – literally and figuratively. Not only is it the hot topic of the moment across media stories, service delivery products and the world of work, but it’s also all around us in the tools we use on a daily basis, including satnav, voice assistants (such as Siri) and email predictive responses.

AI is manifesting into our lives at an exponential rate and infiltrating every industry and sector, with some such as healthcare already successfully utilising AI technology whilst others are only just beginning to grasp what it might mean for the future.

Join us for our AI Masterclass Series as we share Cranfield expertise, harnessing the latest research and thinking on the implications of AI across key aspects of business and industry, and the risks and opportunities it presents to leaders.

AI and the Future of Work

10 May 2024, 11:00-12:30

Delivered by Professor Emma Parry

AI is likely to have a profound effect on work, the workplace and the workforce, and is fast becoming the industrial revolution of our age. Over the next decade we will see momentous changes in the types of tasks that AI and humans undertake, how we interact with technology, the way in which we go about our work, and the skills that we need to be successful.

Employers will need to analyse how they can integrate AI technology and processes into their business to remain competitive, whilst reskilling their workforce and understanding what skills gaps are likely to emerge in the future.

In this masterclass we will move beyond the hype around AI and the changing world of work, and offer leaders an evidence-based perspective to the following questions:

  • How is AI likely to affect the world of work?
  • What is the role of humans in working with AI, and how can the workforce be better prepared for this?
  • What are the implications of AI for skills requirements, strategic workforce planning, talent management and organisation design?
  • How can AI be used to manage people more effectively?
  • What are the people-related risks and challenges that AI presents?
