Penny Pickering: Head of Careers Service Delivery
Penny has over 15 years' commercial recruitment and business development experience. This background, combined with coaching and management roles leave her well placed to develop the strategy for the Cranfield Career Service; ensuring that Cranfield's recruiting partners achieve their postgraduate hiring plans and students' career aspirations are met.
Helen Dalling: Head of Employer Engagement
Helen's career has spanned 30 years, moving from Hospitality and Events management to multidisciplinary Recruitment roles. During the last six years she has specialised in higher education careers advice provision; and as an AGCAS member, she has expert knowledge for postgraduate guidance on career direction. Helen also provides significant experience of event organisation, international conference networking and relationship management on local and national scales. Alongside her role, Helen is studying for a Masters in Careers education, information and guidance in higher education - provided by the University of Warwick.
Urszula Jukes: Employer Engagement Manager
Urszula has over 10 years’ experience in sourcing global talent, whilst building and managing client relationships; having previously run her own international recruitment business. Her focus is to develop relationships with key companies, in order to provide the student community with an array of exciting opportunities; including graduate programmes, research competitions and salaried roles. Urszula is also studying for her Cranfield MBA, and is due to complete this demanding programme in 2020.
Alex Stimson: Career Development Manager
Alex’s background in HR and recruitment means she has a wealth of multi-sector industry expertise, having worked with London-based finance and media companies in the past. A long standing member of the team, Alex leverages her knowledge to develop ongoing relationships with Cranfield’s key recruiting partners; many of whom are alumni and return annually to recruit from Cranfield. Her focus is to support and develop SoM MSc students through their journey.
Steve Crabb: Career Development Manager
Steve provides an in-depth understanding of guiding and maximising opportunities for MBA students. He has business development and account management experience in both public and private sectors, having worked in leading recruitment firms. He has built an extensive portfolio with some of the most renowned global leaders within FMCG, engineering, manufacturing, consulting, financial services and property.
Katrina Armstrong: Career Development Manager
Katrina is a qualified career professional with experience gained in adult guidance and secondary school environments. She has a strong business development background gained in account management and recruitment; developing networks in the commercial, private and public sectors. Katrina is focused on empowering students to reach their potential and helping them to meet their career goals.
Diane Blything: Career Development Manager
Diane joined us in the Spring of 2019. She has business development and recruitment experience, with a particular focus on working with small to medium sized enterprises (SME's). Having supported clients with hiring student interns across all sectors, she understands commercial requirements and is well placed to support Cranfield students to help them achieve their potential.
Hannah Piazza: Internships and Project Manager
Hannah manages the internships programme for MiMs students, which is a key strategic provision for the course. She does this by building strong relationships with businesses as well as helping MiM students to apply for their choice of internships. Hannah brings a previous track record in the Recruitment sector.
Barry Wilkins: Associate Career Coach
Barry is an independent management level career coach, with over 20 years’ experience in senior training and development. He has expertise in all aspects of interviewing techniques and psychometric profiling. His extensive range of skills include psychological skills, NLP, soft systems, facilitation, counselling and process consultancy.
Alexis Drake: Marketing and Communications Manager
Alexis’ role involves managing the strategic direction of all careers-related marketing and communications activities. This scope includes overseeing the Graduate Outcomes survey, video productions/photography, written content creation, web/intranet regeneration, event capture and social media. Alexis was previously a Recruiter in London and has experience of working in HR and Training teams. She also has several industry-recognised qualifications from the REC and CIPD.
Sam Page: Data, Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator
Sam joined us in early 2019 and supports Alexis Drake with all aspects of marketing and communications for the team. Sam's role includes promoting the HESA Graduate Outcomes Survey, raising awareness of our activities through social media platforms, creating digital and print resources; and assisting with pre-student employability and internal data requests. Sam has extensive experience within the higher education sector, as well as having a background in marketing.
Liz Erridge: Operations and Events Executive
A long standing member of the team, Liz provides organisational and coordination support for the Career team's wide portfolio of events. These include our Careers Fairs, client presentations evenings and calendar of workshops. She is also involved with selecting and tailoring our online resource offering. Liz’s extensive project management experience, plus her portfolio of campus relationships, enables her to deliver an unrivalled service to the Employer Engagement team.
Chloe Head: PSU Administrator
Chloe is the linchpin support to the Student Experience professional services unit. Her background includes working in purchase ledger, call centres, facilities management and administration. She is the first port of call for recruiters looking to engage with our student community. Chloe has a degree in English Literature from the University of Northampton.
