Graduate Outcomes

Graduate Outcomes is the biggest annual social survey in the UK and captures the perspectives and current status of graduates. Everyone who completed a higher education course will be asked to take part in the survey, 15 months after graduation.

The survey looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else - and to what extent your qualification played a part. We’re also keen to understand the non-traditional routes that graduates are taking because employment isn’t the only successful outcome: we want to know what you do, and really understand what you see as fulfilling.

Why take part?

Salmon speech bubble We want to know whether we delivered what was promised to you, from a learning perspective; and these insights will help us to evaluate our courses.

Blue speech bubble It helps the Government, charities, journalists and researchers to understand the higher education sector, and the graduate labour market.

Purple speech bubble The results will provide current and future students insight into potential career destinations and developments.

Salmon speech bubble Only you will know if you left us with the knowledge you needed, to get you to where you are now, so join your fellow graduates, take the survey and be part of the picture of education today.

Who conducts the survey

The survey is delivered by HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency). HESA has delivered a survey of graduates since 1994/95 under the name of Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE). In 2016, HESA carried out a full review and as a result, created the Graduate Outcomes survey.
