The air transport sector has a key responsibility as a carbon-intensive emitter and could be the largest GHG contributor in 2050. This project acts as a knowledge exchange hub by bringing together relevant participants who cross disciplinary boundaries (science, engineering, operations, economics, social sciences etc) and stakeholder groups. This facilitates business, academia and industry to work together on research into innovative ideas and technology that is focused on greener air transport effectively.

The project aims to lead to new products, services and business opportunities for achieving the net zero target, bringing economic and societal benefit to the UK. It includes: (1) a monthly journal club, (2) sandpit workshop, and (3) hackathon competition.
