Cranfield University is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Whaley as its new Director of Student Experience.
The new Student Experience team aims to enhance the experience of students at Cranfield by bringing together the University’s Library services, the Centre for Andragogy and Academic Skills, Technology Enhanced Learning, the Student Advice Centre and Careers service.
Professor Lynette Ryals, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) at Cranfield University, said: “Delivering an exceptional student learning experience is a key priority for the University. I’m delighted that Alison will be taking up this new role, focusing on improving the learning experience for our taught and research students. We can be rightly proud of the experience we offer students but, like all universities, we strive to do more to enhance our offering further.”
Commenting on her appointment, Alison Whaley said: “Cranfield is a unique place to learn, with a staff-to-student ratio that is one of the best of any university in the world and unrivalled links to industry. Bringing together some of the key student services into one team will enable us to further develop the learning environment for our students.”
Alison joined Cranfield in 2006. She is currently a member of the Research and Innovation Office, where she has focused on driving forward developments to enhance the research student experience.
