Honorary graduates from the world of business joined more than 2,500 postgraduate students to receive degrees from Cranfield University at the colourful graduation ceremonies held over two days last week.

The graduates, from more than 100 countries, and hundreds of guests gathered at the exclusively postgraduate university to receive the honours.

Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Peter Gregson said: “Cranfield is a specialist postgraduate University creating leaders in technology and management. The celebrations recognise the excellent achievements of those who have studied at Cranfield and those who are receiving honorary degrees for their outstanding contribution to business and society.”

Honorary graduates:

  • Mr Samir Brikho, Chief Executive, Amec Foster Wheeler plc;
  • Ms Chris Browne OBE, Chief Operating Officer, TUI Aviation;
  • Ms Anita Frew, Chairman Designate, Croda International plc;
  • Mr Antony Jenkins, Group Chief Executive, Barclays;
  • Mr Pete Winkelman, Chairman, Milton Keynes Dons;
  • Mr Tony Wood, President – Aerospace,  Rolls-Royce plc.

Cranfield University at Shrivenham will celebrate its graduation on 30th July when Mr Jonathan Lyle, Chief Executive, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory will also receive an honorary award.
