Contact Zhang Wen
Background
Zhang Wen received his MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University in 2023, and received his BEng in Automation from Harbin University of Science and Technology in 2021. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as an Assistant Engineer at China National Petroleum Corporation (PetroChina). Before returning to Cranfield University to pursue his doctoral studies, he also studied at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is currently a PhD student in AI, Robotics, and Space at Cranfield University.

Current activities
Zhang Wen Research builds upon Cranfield University ATM/UTM R&D Environment (AURD) and BlueSky, focusing on the development of autonomous decision-making and planning algorithms for Advanced Air Mobility operational environments. His work aims to maximise operational efficiency while ensuring safety in complex and risk-aware Advanced Air Mobility scenarios.
