Background
My research lies at the intersection of biosensing, environmental health, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), with a particular focus on developing practical tools for monitoring biological and chemical threats in complex environmental systems.
My work explores the development and integration of emerging sensing technologies, including microfluidic and paper-based analytical devices, molecular diagnostics, and biosensors, for rapid and field-deployable detection. A key area of my research is wastewater-based surveillance of antimicrobial resistance, where I am interested in combining phenotypic and genotypic detection approaches to better understand the occurrence, transmission, and environmental dynamics of AMR.
More broadly, I am interested in translating advances in sensing and analytical technologies into accessible, scalable, and real-world monitoring solutions that can support environmental surveillance, public health decision-making, and One Health research.

Current activities
AMR One Health Environmental Sensing: Next-Generation Platforms for Surveillance and Source Tracking
I am currently involved in a research project focused on developing next-generation environmental sensing platforms for the surveillance and source tracking of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within a One Health framework. The project aims to advance integrated sensing and analytical approaches for detecting, monitoring, and understanding AMR across complex environmental systems.
