Background
Xingshen was previously working on microwave ceramic by cold sintering process before he was granted BEng degree from University of Sheffield in 2020. His main work was on manufacturing cold-sintered KMO-BMO ceramics at a relatively low temperature(150 °C). The novel process brings oppotunity to introduce thermoplastics such as polystyrene, which as an additive, increases the temperature stability at high frequency(TCF) and quality factor(Qf) of the composite ceramic.
Current activities
A sandwich structural
composite is designed to improve the fuel/electric efficiency of heavy vehicle
for it's light weight and sustainable strength. Recyclable carbon fibre and
degradable cellulose are applied to reduce the recycling cost. The application
of polypropylene honecomb is promising to replace the requirement of
conventional brich wood material, which is environmental friendly.
