Having completed a BA (hons) in Archaeology at Bristol University in 2007 and MSc Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology at Cranfield University in 2011, Vic decided to continue her studies at Cranfield on a part time basis. As well as studying part time, Vic works full time in the Emergency Response Department of a public sector health organisation.
Vic is looking at the work carried out by the Directorate of Graves Registration and Enquiries after the First World War. She is studying the methods used to identify human remains, and the relationships between identification rates and external factors. Vic is planning to assess whether the varied identification rates were due to human factors or environmental factors. Vic's project is bringing together battlefield archaeology, military history and anthropology to explore a topic which has been previously overlooked.
