Background

Stephen Brown is a business leader, entrepreneur, advisor, and published author with over 30 years’ experience in executive search, talent strategy, and the scaling of small and medium-sized enterprises, primarily within advanced engineering, manufacturing, and technology sectors.

He is the Founder and Chairman of Euro Projects Recruitment, a specialist recruitment firm he established from inception and developed into a £4–6 million turnover business with an international client base spanning the UK, Europe, the United States, South Africa, and Scandinavia. The firm is recognised for its expertise in executive and technical recruitment within skills-constrained markets.

Stephen is the author of Start and Build Your Own Successful Business, a practical guide focused on helping individuals launch and grow sustainable businesses, reflecting his long-standing commitment to entrepreneurship and applied business thinking.

He has extensive experience advising business owners and leadership teams on growth strategy, organisational design, remuneration, and talent acquisition. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Advisor to a number of SMEs and mid-cap businesses, supporting leadership teams in scaling operations and building high-performing organisations.

Stephen is an active contributor to executive education and leadership development. He is a visiting speaker on Cranfield’s Business Growth Programme and is frequently invited to share his knowledge on recruitment and organisational growth.

In addition, he has mentored entrepreneurs through the Cherie Blair International Foundation for Women, supporting business development in emerging markets.

As a Visiting Fellow, Stephen brings a strong practitioner perspective, contributing insight into SME growth, talent strategy, and the evolving role of technology and AI in workforce planning and organisational development.
