Contact Samuel Ayankoso
Background
Dr Samuel Ayankoso is a robotics and machine learning researcher who designs autonomous systems for smart monitoring, inspection and through-life engineering of critical assets. His work centres on deploying autonomous machines and AI models safely and reliably in safety-critical sectors.
He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, an MSc in Robotics, Control and Smart Systems from the American University in Cairo, and a PhD from the University of Huddersfield, where his research focused on AI-enabled fault detection and diagnosis in industrial robots.
Samuel’s skills span systems integration (hardware and software), physics-based and data-driven modelling, control, optimisation, applied machine learning and smart design. He has played key roles in a range of research projects and is keen to build collaborations between industry and academia.
