Sam is a PhD Research Student in the Sustainable Manufacturing Systems Centre.
Current activities
Samniroshan is a research student in the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing at Cranfield University. His PhD is focussed on the comparative product Life Cycle Analysis of novel additive manufacturing processes to estimate environmental impact measures (e.g. carbon footprint) and combine them with cost, productivity and quality indicators using multi-disciplinary analysis and optimisation tools.
He obtained her bachelor’s degree in Textile Process Engineering and Post-graduate Diploma in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Before joining Cranfield University, he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
His research interests are Circular Economy, Sustainable Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Technical Textiles, Operations Management, Additive Manufacturing, Textile Manufacturing, Control Systems, Industrial Engineering and Automobile Interior Designing.
