Contact Reuben Hann

Background

Reuben Hann holds a BEng(Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire studying therefore 2017 to 2020. Thereafter completing a research master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Glasgow in 2021 and starting a PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Glasgow under a school scholarship. In June 2022 he changed universities to Cranfield University to continue his research in the simulation and analysis of rotating detonation engines.

Current activities

Reuben is currently conducting research to design, build, and test a modular hollow rotating detonation engine (RDE) technology demonstrator that is stable and reliable enough to run continuously as long as the propellants are injected. This is to be achieved by exploring reduced-order models such as the RDE analogue to recreate the core processes of RDEs and allowing the rapid simulating of the engine's dynamics and performance.
